Massimo Maffei is Professor of Plant Physiology in the University of Turin. His current interest is the study of plant interactions with the surrounding environment, early DAMPS signals in plant-biotrophs interaction. Astrobiology is studied by evaluating the plant responses to varying magnetic fields. Metabolomics of plant bioactive compounds and molecular biology of secondary metabolisms are also studied.
