Francesco Castelli - Top Italian Scientist in Clinical Sciences
FRANCESCO CASTELLI MD, FRCP (London), FFTM RCPS (Glasgow), FRCP (Edinburgh), FISTM, FESCMID is Professor of Infectious Diseases and Director of the University Division of Infectious and Tropical Medicine at the University of Brescia (Italy) and ASST Spedali Civili of Brescia (Italy). Professor Castelli is the holder of the UNESCO Chair “Training and empowering human resources for health development in resource-limited countries” His major fields of scientific interest are infectious and tropical diseases, migration medicine and imported infections, global health and chronic viral infections. He has published more than 550 papers on peer-reviewed journals and more than 110 chapters of Books and Manuals. His H-index is 66 (Scopus) and 78 (Google Scholar) as at september 2024. He has been awarded the title of Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic in 2011
