Roberto Massimo Lemoli - Top Italian Scientist in Biomedical Sciences
Roberto M. Lemoli, MD received his medical degree at the University of Bologna, Italy and completed his post-graduate training in hematology and stem cell transplantation in Bologna and at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle and MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston (USA). He is currently Professor of Hematology at the University of Genoa, Italy and Director of the Clinic of Hematology at San Martino Hospital, Genoa. He is member of several societies of hematology and served as President of the Italian Society of Experimental Hematology (SIES) from 2012 to 2014. Prof. Lemoli’s main scientific interests include hematopoietic stem cell biology with specific reference to the interplay with bone marrow microenvironment, stem cell collection and transplantation, acute leukemia immunology and adoptive immunotherapy. He is co-author of more than 240 peer-reviewed full papers published in international journals.
