Silvia G Priori, M.D., PhD was born in Torino on October 17, 1960. She graduated in Medicine in 1986 at the University of Milan (Italy), and she became specialist in Cardiology in 1990. In 1995 she obtained a PhD in Cardiac Pathophysiology. Currently, she is Full Professor of Cardiology at the University of Pavia (Italy), General Scientific Director of the Istituti Clinici Scientifici Maugeri (ICS) SpA SB, Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation and Head of the Molecular Cardiology Laboratories at the ICS Maugeri SpA SB. Professor Priori is also Director of the Cardiovascular Genetics Program, at the Centro National de Investigaciones Cardiovasculares Carlos III (CNIC), Madrid, Spain.
