Prof. Leonardo Palmisano is active in the field of Heterogeneous Photocatalysis. He has been Professor at University of Palermo, now he is retired (since 1st november 2020) but he is still active as far as research is concerned. Prof. Palmisano is chief editor of Journal of Photocatalysis, he is member of the advisory boards of some international journals and President of SPEA (European Conference on Solar Chemistry and Photocatalysis: Environmental Applications) conference series. He has co-authored more than 400 papers/chapters in international journals and books, is co-inventor of six patents and editor of many scientific books. He is author of two didactical books on General Chemistry (Fondamenti di Chimica, EdiSES, Elementi di Chimica, EdiSES). Prof. Palmisano has been responsible during his career of many national and international research projects and has tutored a lot of master and PhD students. He has been visiting researcher/professor in UK and in Japan and has attended many international conferences as speaker.
